Magnificent Antique Pairpoint American Brilliant Period Cut Crystal Jewelry Casket with Intricate Floral Engraving

This magnificent Antique Pairpoint Jewelry Casket is a superb piece of American Brilliant Period {ABP} cut glass from 1890–1905. Made from heavy, clear lead crystal by the esteemed Pairpoint Glassworks of New Bedford, MA, the circular hinged box showcases the ultimate in Gilded Age luxury. Pairpoint, one of the most esteemed glassmakers of the late 19th century, was known for producing exceptional pieces of art glass for elegant homes and grand dressing tables. This exquisite casket would have once held fine jewels or keepsakes, and today makes a statement of timeless beauty and sophistication. The domed lid is a true masterpiece: a central finely wheel-engraved floral and foliate bouquet provides an exquisite contrast to the surrounding fields of highly polished, geometric cuts.

Features intricate floral engraving and deeply faceted designs that catch and reflect the light with dazzling brilliance. Deep prismatic miters alternate with intricate Strawberry Diamond and Crosshatching panels, ensuring the box captures and refracts light from every angle. Mounted with a silver-plated collar, this heirloom piece is ideal for storing your most treasured jewelry, small mementos, or your French chocolate bonbons on your tea table. Exceptional quality, heavy and a wonderful large size.  Beautiful condition for its age, the crystal shows gentle wear on the base consistent with age and use, as does the silver plated mount, a testament to its authenticity and history. A truly exceptional example of American Brilliant Period artistry.
