This captivating set of four antique table knives from the historically significant Abram French Company of Boston showcases exquisite late 19th century craftsmanship. The Abram French Company was known for carrying high-quality French, English, and German porcelain, including Limoges & Meissen, as well as high quality silver and crystal, and other luxury tableware. The handles of these knives are made of beautifully aged celluloid {often known as French Ivory} presenting a rich, mellow butterscotch tone and featuring an intricately hand-carved, ornate foliate and scroll pattern.
Each luxurious handle transitions elegantly to a sleek, long, curved blade, typical of bread, cheese, or early dinner cutlery, finished with a classic metal collar. One blade is engraved TAMPA, marked Landers, Frary & Clark. All blades have some wear as is to be expected. This rare set is in good antique condition with a desirable patina, perfect for lending a touch of vintage inspired elegance to your curated collection or sophisticated table setting.
