Delightful Antique Sussex Garden Trug, beautifully aged to a darker color. A hand made treasure from the 1800's, to carry your harvest of flowers and vegetables or berries from the garden. Invented by Thomas Smith in the 1820s, a light basket, made of chestnut and willow wood, inspired by an old model, the ancient "trog".
Use this for the garden, or serve your famous Parker rolls at dinner. Makes a very thoughtful hostess gift when delivered with beautiful plants, a gardening tool, or a beautifully wrapped bottle of wine together with crackers and French cheese.
