Antique Paye Baker Sterling Silver Blue Bird Swallow Pin Brooch, Guilloché Enamel, a rare find. This outstanding Victorian early Art Deco era enamel brooch was made by the renowned Paye & Baker Company, which started in 1901 and made sterling silver tablewares, beautiful handbags and jewelry. Featuring an exceptional blue and yellow enameled bluebird with a red eye, this is the more costly version of this design with guilloché  enamel and set with marcasites on the wings.

Swallows were especially beloved in the Victorian - Art Deco period, as symbols of faith good luck. The swallows symbolized faithfulness, successful voyages, hope, and the embrace of home. This brooch is both visually stunning and emotionally resonant, and will hold a cherished place in your collection.  Marked STERLING P & B, dates to 1901-1910.
