A truly beautiful Antique French Majolica Pitcher with Wood Violets and Butterflies, mid to later 19th century. Likely crafted by one of the esteemed French makers such as Sarreguemines or Choisy-le-Roi, this exquisite piece captures the romantic spirit of the 19th century. The design features delicate violets in raised relief, fluttering butterflies, and a softly textured ground in shades of moss, golden brown, and soft green accented by blush pink. 

Inside, the rose-pink glaze adds a touch of unexpected charm, while the architectural handle and gentle craquelure reveal the artistry of age. A rare and lyrical example of fine French majolica to treasure and display. Lovely antique condition, the very rim has age appropriate wear, its softly aged surface tells the story of time and use, adding warmth and soul to this exquisite example of 19th-century majolica.
