Antique Staffordshire Hand Painted & Stick Spatter Sponge Decorated Bowl, a beautiful bowl with floral decorations. A true testament to the enduring craftsmanship of the early 1900's, this large earthenware bowl is a one-of-a-kind creation, as the spontaneous application of color with a sponge or brush ensures no two patterns are ever identical. Made by Baker & Co, of Fenton, Staffordshire, England, established in 1790 by Ralph Bourne and William Baker. 

This particular piece features a stunning French blue, a pinky red, green and black. Set against a creamy ivory background, the vibrant, hand-applied glaze is still beautifully lustrous, telling a story of decades of love, care and use. Age-appropriate buttering {aging} on the inside which we love. As versatile as it is beautiful, use it as a stunning centerpiece filled with a few flowers on your French Country table, or a key piece in your collection of antique stoneware.
