A beautifully preserved 1889 French Paroissien Romain {Roman Missal}, bound in sumptuous dark green leather and adorned with exquisite gilt detailing. The inside is a rich paper with gilt designs. This devotional book would have accompanied a faithful parishioner to Mass, its pages guiding prayers through the liturgical year. The leather cover is richly embossed and gilt, showing the graceful wear of more than a century of reverent use. The pages are edges in gold.
