Glazed Country Estate Tulipiere, a stunning pyramid shaped vase inspired by the tulipieres of the 17th century when imported flowers, especially tulips, were so costly that they were a status symbol for the elite class. Delftware tulipieres were used by the European elite to force tulip and other bulbs indoors.
These days, tulipieres like this are meant to hold a few stems from the garden as a blossoming sculpture. Holds 24 individual stems topped with a larger arrangement to create a stunning floral display. Please note that only the very bottom can be filled with water, so this works best when arranging long stemmed flowers. A lovely white glazed tulipiere, this looks amazing with your best faux flowers all year round too! {Each may be a very slight different size.} Sold per piece.
