Authentic French Enamelware Biggin, or Cafetiere {Coffeepot}, in Cream with floral decoration in rose, lavender, blue, yellow, red and green. This is an exceptionally rare large size, used in a cafe or hotel for serving many cups of coffee. This pot has history, French country charm, and spirit. Three part top with filter, damper and lid, this pot has the old "two handles" and split gooseneck spout indicative of the late 1800's, early 1900's. Referred to as a “Parisian” because of the longer filter portion with its own handle.
There is the normal wear you would expect from an original piece with this age, the filter part shows rusting. Carefully kept by a collector, this is in good condition with the usual missing enamel and rusting in the filter.
