Antique French Country Tole Painted Hot Water Watering Can with mustard paint and black tole embellishment, most likely painted by an artistic home owner. Originally used to carry hot water upstairs to the master and mistress's room for washing or bathing by their servants, before indoor plumbing was invented {or affordable.}
Made of painted metal, it has a hinged lid and a convenient carrying handle. This antique piece has a few minor areas of wear, the striping on the handle is mostly worn off, and it has a few other minor imperfections which gives it its one-of-a-kind character.
