A piece of social history, this warmer was filled with hot coals and placed on the floor of a horse drawn carriage, for a lady to keep her feet warm on the journey when comfort was a cherished luxury. The solid construction ensured this foot warmer could withstand the rigors of travel, the pierced tin panels allowed the gentle heat from the glowing coals to radiate outwards.
