This delightful 19th-century Staffordshire Hen on Nest Tureen has all the country charm and personality you could wish for. Hand painted by the renowned Staffordshire Potteries in England, the tureen features a playful hen lid with eggs resting on a fitted base styled as a woven basket. {She's a little sassy!} The exterior and interior of the basket are beautifully glazed, while the hen is left unglazed for contrast.

Decorated all around, she is beautiful from any angle. Made in 1870, rarely do pieces of this age survive intact —most show damage to the feathers or beak — but this one remains complete, she’s a fabulous addition to your collection.
