This gorgeous set of four Antique Hand Painted French Country Faience Rooster Plates capture a slice of French countryside charm. Made by renowned French company Creil et Montereau in the early 1900's, with delightful, vibrantly rendered cockerels, standing proudly amidst a flourish of delicate floral motifs.
Found in a set of 4, these plates have stunning country colors, these are a piece of French history. Each plate has slightly different aging, there are some very tight hairlines as shown, these were loved and displayed with great pride by a collector. Marked HBCM on the reverse, for Hippolyte Boulenger-Creil-Montereau. Great conversation starters, beautiful to display in your antique French hutch. Sold in a set of four.
