Angelica Kauffman Stipple Engraving Late 18th Century Cupid's Revenge

A very fine Angelica Kauffman Stipple Engraving from the late 18th Century on laid paper, in a beautiful 19th century gilded frame. Maria Anna Angelika Kauffmann {10-30-1741-11-05-1807}, known in English as Angelica Kauffman, was a Swiss Neoclassical painter who had a successful career in London and Rome. Remembered primarily as a history painter, she was a skilled portraitist, landscape and decoration painter. She was one of the two female founding members of the Royal Academy in London in 1768.

This beautiful stipple engraving was made for J. & J. Boydell Publishers, for the Shakespeare Gallery in Pall Mall, London. There is a label on the back. In good antique condition.
