Exquisite Antique Double Hands Pottery Dish is beautifully made in the shape of two cupped hands, symbolizing offering, care, and generosity. First patented in 1875 by G.E. Hatch, and made by various glass companies. This one is made from pottery, these earlier hands dishes were meant to hold a calling card on your hallway table.
The dish features a beautifully rendered pair of hands with grapes and leaves at the wrists, there are two holes for adding a ribbon on the top and forming a decorative bow. A sweet sentimental piece, perfect to display an antique calling card, a bird's nest, a special antique locket or pin.
