Lovely Antique Haviland Limoges Porcelain Chocolate Set with Tray, such a gorgeous and impressive set! The tray makes it, doesn’t it? So beautiful and so rare to find. Made and decorated by Haviland & CIE between 1888-1896, with the beautiful light blue and green wispy floral design Limoges is so beloved for. Hand painted gilt accents make this set even more spectacular!
The large tray has a scalloped form and gilt accents on the two handles. Each cup and saucer is a delicate refined delight. Chocolate was a very gracious drink to serve in the late 19th century, and this set is a perfect reminder of the elegant way to entertain. Set comes with a large tray, a chocolate pot and lid, and five tall cups with their saucers. Of note: one of the saucers has a hairline, I forgave it this due to the rarity of finding a complete set. Please only adopt if you can live with the grace of time on this piece.
