Our l’AUTOMNE COUNTRY FRENCH COLLECTION is everything we look forward to about fall.

There are fall candles, French soaps, linen napkins, tablecloths and more that will wrap your autumn in warmth. I selected aprons, towels and oven gloves for us to make our kitchens the best place to be for baking, cooking, and grabbing a quick cup of coffee with a pumpkin muffin.

CANDLES.

There is nothing as magical as the glow of candlelight, especially now that the evenings are beginning to get dark earlier.

A simple, classic lit candle will elevate everyday meals to special, the kind of meal where family or friends sit around the table and share stores and laughter.

LINENS.

You may know that I celebrate each season by buying some pretty new drying towels, an apron, and table linens for our FrenchGardenHouse.

It’s the easiest way to bring the charm of the season to our homes.

I still fall head-over-heels in love with this line of country linens each time I see it at market. For autumn, I bought this autumn forest design, it is sure to bring a magical autumnal ambience to your kitchen, this design features red squirrels, deer, pheasants, hedgehogs and the occasional owl.

Since all my live girl models are now married and living elsewhere, I’ve again had to press my “girl” into modeling service. Despite having a rough day in the kitchen {note the ripped sleeve} she wears her Autumn Forest Apron and matching double oven glove with style, n’est-ce pas?

The matching drying towels are just as charming. I use these to line my bread baskets too, and sometimes as a napkin when we eat something a bit messy.

FRENCH LAVENDER SACHETS.

Always a favorite, these beautiful sachet hearts are hand embroidered on antique French linens. They lend a country air to your own linen closets, and make a beautiful gift for friends, teachers, neighbors, everyone!

NEW ENAMELWARE.

We sell a lot of antique enamelware in the shop. I have been searching for a high-quality line of new enamelware for a while, and this year, at market, I found it!

Pretty much all around beautiful, it mixes and matches with lots of our other plates, which is always a plus. AND: it can go in the dishwasher, it’s non-toxic, lightweight, scratch resistant, shatterproof, and oven safe.

Right now I chose a beautiful grey and white, but I can special order sets of plates for you if you want a specific color, just ask and I’ll find out.

For the holidays there will be red and white. I love to set tables with these beauties, I’ll be sharing table settings later on for you to see!

Dinner Plates, Dessert Plates, a Cake Pedestal, Napkin Rings and Oval Platters are what I chose for us, but there are other pieces that I can special order for you too. Just ask me, and I can give you the details.

SOAP.

Completely sold out in spring, our French soap gift bars are made by a master savonniers. This beautiful gentle French-milled soap softly lathers without drying your skin.

Calm, gentle and refreshing fragrance of the olive and lavender fields in France, reminding you of that divine autumn when you rented a petit chateau in Provence.

For the autumn season, I went back to buying the very first soaps I fell in love with in France. They are made in Provence, quad-milled to be smoother and have a richer lather to create the most luxurious feel.

And the scents are amazing!

Each bar is hand wrapped exclusively for FrenchGardenHouse with custom papers and ribbons. Because…I love to gift soap in a pretty wrap, and know you do, too!

Because I recently rekindled my love with Blue & White {I know, right? Why did I ever not??} I paired these beautiful soaps with a favorite antique Chinoiserie print from my collection, and added a vintage Blue & White Chinoiserie bowl to the mix.

A very limited edition, this set is a welcome gift to present to your favorite host or hostess, or gift one to your self!

This year, I added the traditional Provence Country soap cubes. You can buy them in a set, perfect for next to your sink.

TASSELS.

Back again by your many requests, these tassels are embellished by hand, in a small home studio, with French silk ribbons, antique trims or couture details.

This autumn’s Parisian Atelier selection is made with antique and vintage tassels that we found on our buying trips at special markets.

Each one will bring a luxurious lift to your cabinet latches, doorknobs and lamp pulls – with a French flair. They range in size from very big to small, some have antique keys and are a decorative accent you can add to a side table, your French desk, or a bookshelf.
