WELCOME TO MONDAY MORNING BLOOMS!

HAPPY MONDAY!  This Monday, Mary, Pam and I are celebrating fall, each of us in our own style. Whatever your own personal style might be, we hope we inspire you to create your own floral beauty for your home!  I’ll share my talented friend’s links at the bottom of this post, don’t miss them.

Monday Morning Blooms Fall

Fall is when we really start decorating our homes for the upcoming season. I know it’s when I feel the most inspired to create pleasing decorations for my home and I usually start with my kitchen. I love to decorate our kitchen at FrenchGardenHouse.

It’s where we spend the most time as a family, as our kitchen has a big farm table in the center. I added some antique French confit pots to the counter near our range. They have such great texture, and the colors is a warm golden yellow – perfect for fall.

It is still pretty hot here in Southern California, so I haven’t gone wild with putting pumpkins everywhere yet!  I was excited to find several really nice bigger pumpkins, as well as these darling little white ones at the farm stand in town.

I set our farm table in the center of the kitchen with a fall runner.  A large antique ironstone platter holds the fall flowers I arranged in an antique French apothecary jar.  I nestled three of the little pumpkins next to the  flower bouquet.

Berried eucalyptus is always so pretty, and the great thing about it is that it is just as lovely once it’s dried, too.

Most days it’s just the two of us having meals at this table when we are not eating out in the garden.  I wanted to create a pretty spot for us to enjoy meals together, and this centerpiece arrangement is easy to refresh with different flowers when these start loosing their beauty.

The colors compliment the golden marigold of the antique French confit pots on our counters, and they echo the colors in the linen runner, too.

I absolutely love these plates from Arte Italica. They are new to our FrenchGardenHouse shop, and will be available for order starting this week.  Aren’t they so beautiful?  Called ‘Merletto”, they are the most exquisite dishes, and covered in delicate curves and lace detailing. These are my new favorites!

They have such a beautiful presence, especially when layered on the Bella Bianca Rosette dinner plates. Italian artisans handcraft each piece of stoneware and then hand-apply a beautiful white glaze. This elegant stoneware is versatile enough for everyday use and special occasions alike.  We are using these beauties here at home quite a bit lately!

The flax linen hand towels make delightful napkins, they are a little bit bigger than regular napkins. They cover your lap all the way should you eat something a little challenging.

It’s a delight to have the table set for fall, even if right now it’s just for the two of us.  I am cherishing all my blessings. You, too?  Happy {almost} fall friends.

  4. Lidy, I would love to join you at your lovely farm table! Friends and family always enjoy the kitchen, it is the heart of our home. I do love the Arte Italica dinnerware, I am a long time fan of their designs. Autumn has arrived in your kitchen with the gorgeous arrangement in the antique French jar. The confit jars have the most beautiful shade of autumn that you described as marigold…love that. It is a pleasure to share fall inspiration and Monday Morning Blooms! Happy Autumn! xoxo

  10. Dear Lidy, your post is lovely as always. And the arrangement in your French apothecary jar is so pretty. The little touch of feathers in it makes me smile, for some reason I am drawn to them. Your dinnerware and harvest towels are lovely and are quite elegant.

Have a lovely week. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and forgive my tardiness to comment on this beautiful post. Stay well.
