There is nothing as fun as going to an antique show on a glorious sunny day with a sweet friend, is there?! I was excited to go to The Vintage Marketplace with my dear friend Karen.
The lovingly created quarterly sale is the brainchild of sisters~in~law Rita Reade and Christie Repasy, and if you ever get the chance to go, DO!  I hope you will enjoy a few shots of the event, there were so many vendors there with wonderful vintage items for sale, but also, I was so inpsired by their creative displays and handmade jewelry, linens, and everything else we love!  Romantic Homes Editor extraordinaire Jacqueline de Montravel was there signing copies of her book  Hers Design with a Feminine Touch . Sorry J, I was so busy talking to you that I forgot to take a picture of you!
This gorgeous booth belongs to Christie, filled with hand painted furniture {the chair was to die for!} and her amazing artwork. Â She has a God~given talent for painting, and each time I see her work I am blessed. Â Every single thing her brush touches becomes a piece of art. Â It’s no surprise that her pieces sold out quickly!
One of my favorite dealers, how gorgeous is that arched architectural piece?
A gorgeous arrangement of vintage treasures, beautiful flowering plants and even a pink tutu to delight us.
This month’s “theme” was all about Gypsy, and this vendor’s booth certainly had everything a gyspsy would love. Notice the great use of antique umbrellas on the top of this display! Â So fun.
There was so much to see and look at, that I’m sure I missed some of it. Beautiful ruffled pillows by Sharon of Pansy Cottage, tattered lace, country wares…something for everyone.
How great is the lamp made from a mannequin below? Â Creative genius….
If you are anywhere nearby, ride your bike over to the next show. Â Better yet, drive a truck! Â {a bike probably won’t hold all your treasures} Â We had a great time…thanks so much ladies {and gentlemen too!} for making this show such a pleasure to visit.
The next show is in June. I’m only sharing this with you if you promise not to buy the things I want!  🙂  Hope to see you there!  Do you have any special shows in your area you want to share with us?

It was so nice to see you! Looking forward to that lunch date:)
Me too! Call me so we can shedule it before life gets too crazy busy. I know if it’s not on the calendar, time flies by. xo
Oh, dreamy! What a beautiful event. There is so much to see in your photos, Lidy! I have to come back later and look a little deeper.
🙂 I see so many things I wish I would have bought in them!
Such beautiful things I don’t know if I could stop myself too many great fids!!
I know, there really were so many gorgeous pieces…good thing our homes only hold so much.
Oh thank you so very much for posting these gorgeous photos. I live on the east coast and we have nothing that compares to the creativity and beauty of this show (at least not that I know of). I would so love to shop at the booths of theses amazing vendors.
I hope that somewhere near you, there will be a fun “market” like this. Maybe you could start one?
A day for smiling!!!
Yes! Just your kind of day, Joyce. 🙂
Beautiful post Lidy, thank you for spending the day with us. Ciao Rita
Rita, is was fantastic! I’m just sorry the only time I saw you was when you were buying your book with Jacqueline….
