Antique Garden Book with colored prints, so rare to find these days, this book is entitled Sweet Peas, Garden Flowers in Color.  Written by Horace J. Wright, edited by R. Hooper Pearson of the Gardeners' Chronicle, this book is undated but is most likely from 1910. {I found it being advertised as a "wonderful garden book" in a publication in from 1912 for 75 cents!} Inscribed in pencil "To the little Mother, Who loves Sweet Peas, with love from her son. Xmas 1911.

Green cover with a pasted down color illustration, this book features 8 color plates of sweet Peas, blank on the reverse.  116 pages, an appendix in the back of species, varieties etc. In good condition, these books were loved and well-kept by an avid gardener. Pages were hand cut, there is some foxing here and there. A true treasure for your gardening collection, to display with your antique books, your tools, in your sunroom or potting shed.
