Exceptional Tea Cup and Saucer, this ever evolving pattern is one of the most beloved in Royal Crown Derby history. The pattern, Olde Avesbury, originated in 1932, from an embroidery pattern by painter, Albert Gregory. Collectable and rare to find paneled shape is adorned with dramatic birds of paradise and peacocks with elegant trailing feathers, the pieces are embellished with hand painted 22 carat gold.

Each bird and flower is hand painted with color {the pattern itself is transfer} in luxury colors of pink, green, brown, yellow, lavender purple, and teal on a pristine white ground. Divine!  Collectors will notice that the pattern on these heirloom cups have much more detail than the newer ones! A rich, decorative design which makes this a beautiful cup to add to your collection of antique French, English, German and American porcelain cups.  Measures: Cup: 3" x 3-1/4"2-3/4"h  Saucer: 5-1/2".
