Beautiful Antique Majolica Oak Leaf Handled Serving Platter Tray or Bread Plate made by Griffin, Smith and Hill in the 1880's. Botanical dinnerware was extremely sought after and collectable in the late 19th century, and remains a favorite of collectors today. This Oak Leaf platter with stem handle was crafted as a naturalistic leaf dish glazed in beautiful shades of green, yellow and pink with a looped branch handle.
Wonderfully decorative, stunning mold design, clear, bright colors all make this plate special. It has an impressed mark on the back: Etruscan/ GSH/ Majolica. Slight glaze bump on the very tip of the leaf. Measures 12" x 9-1/4".
