Collectible pair of French figurines, gracefully posed, with beautiful period details.  He is a doll seller, he holds up a small cupid or angel doll to passers~by, in his basket are other dolls or statues. She is a young woman out for a stroll on a beautiful day, with her parasol in one hand, a fan in the other to ward off some of the afternoon heat. She is beautifully dressed in lace and ribboned bows, he is wearing a vest and hat, knee breeches and buckled shoes.

This decorative pair is cast in spelter, a heavy white metal alloy with a bronze finish. Figures or sculptures like this were much in fashion in the late 1800's early 1900's, reproductions cast by foundries in France to emulate {or exact copies of} bronze sculptures by masters such as Morceau and E. Dumaige. A stunning pair to display with your collection, they will look wonderful on your mantel, on a French side table, or anywhere else you wish to display these two.  Measure: He: 11~3/4"h x 7~1/2" x 3~1/2"; she: 11~1/2"h x 6~1/4" x 3".
