Stunning Antique Hubley Lilies of the Valley Doorstop, with the original untouched paint in lovely pastel colors. Made by Hubley Co. of Landcaster PA, they began making quality cast iron door stops, banks and toys in 1894. This basket is on a plinth, and holds a gorgeous bouquet of garden flowers.
The flowers include pink roses, lily of the valley, lilies, forget-me-nots, tulips and a sunflower. All nestled inside a basket with a bow top. This is no. 189, and an early original piece made by Hubley, not a later model from after 1948 when John Wright bought all the Hubley molds. Beautiful colors and patina.
