Beautiful Vintage Red & White Transfer Plates from 1940 in a set of 8. Made by Masons of Fenton, England. Sometimes called “pink”, the designs are a beautiful rich red set agains cream white of the ironstone background. The borders have a gadroon edge detail.
The center is a lovely scene of people together on a verdant lawn with their dog, the nanny {?} and a little child closer to the water. The lake or river view is complemented by a view of a grand estate on the other side. These plates are in good condition, with some crazing and one hairline. These plates were used and loved by a family. Sold in a set of eight. Perfect for your table settings, or display them in your antique hutch or wall rack for a beautiful burst of color.
