Astoundingly beautiful early French Aubusson Tapestry covers, each featuring a cherub surrounded by the elegant classical wreath motif. A fantastic large size, these decorative lovelies date to the late 18th early 19th century.
Made with finest silk, the colors and the workmanship is amazing. Not perfect, there are seperations, these are most suited for framing. If you are going to have pillows made out of these, they will need to be backed, but if you are going to have them framed in gilt wood frames, they should not need that.
I fell in love with them, and know that you will too! A pair like this at this price point is quite rare. Sold as found, wear consistent with age and use.
