Large French Zinc Flame Finial. Zinc was a popular roofing material in France throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. Molded into architectural forms, roof finials, window surrounds and columns, zinc was light, and rust proof.
This finial has a soft weathered grey patina. Made from zinc, with open plinth base, step turned column, fluted orb and gorgeous flame finial. Freestanding, with beautifully detailed eternal flames on the top. So rare to find, worthy of gracing a Château or petite Château. In good condition, we have several, each one has its own weathering and personality. Display indoors or outside in the garden, even if you don’t own your very own Château.
- Measures 32″ h x 8″ x 8″.
