Gorgeous Large Antique French Limoges Floral and Birds Platter made in the mid 1800’s. Beautifully hand decorated with blue and pink hydrangea flowers, birds and butterflies, all highlighted with hand enameled details. The gilt rim has wear as is to be expected after more than a century and a half.
This platter features two butterflies both of which have hand applied enameling as accents. Three birds fly around the flowers too, stunning! An exquisite and rare to find treat to add to your collection of antique Limoges. Marked with incised number 14 and a small mark, which is undecipherable, as many of the earlier pieces were.
