Antique heavy ‘Pot en Grès’ stoneware storage preserving jar with hick heavy sides which helped keep the contents cool. This pot has amazing patina as you can see, hand made, not quite round which adds to the very early 19th century charm. The bottom of this preserving jar has two raisded portions- unusual.
