Antique Sterling Silver Curved Spoon with Embossed Wild Rose, such a delight! Made by R Wallace & Sons, Mr. Wallace began his silver company in 1834. The flower is wonderfully done, a opened wild rose, with a sweet bud on the handle. I love these because they don’t necessarily have to be a baby spoon. Here at home I use little sterling spoons like this to scoop out my loose French tea for a perfect pot, sometimes to serve a fruit sauce over a dessert.
Engraved with the R W on the top of the handle. Marked underneath as sterling. A sweet delight, especially if you love silver, flowers and well made sterling pieces from the past.
