Antique Staffordshire Royal Green and White Plates Set of 6

Beautiful Antique Staffordshire Royal Green and White Plates Set of 6, made by Johnson Bros. in Staffordshire, England in the very early 1900’s, between 1900-1910. The four Johnson Brothers – Alfred, Frederick, Henry and Robert were the sons of Robert Johnson and grandsons of the famous Meakin pottery family lineage. They produced white ware, but were really famous for their fine under glaze transfer ware dinner services. These plates are in a gorgeous green, with hand painted touches of gold in the design.

A gracious addition to any of your table settings, these are wonderful to add on top of antique as well as contemporary plates for an elegant and sophisticated look. In good condition for their age, but not perfect. There is a professional repair under the rim of one plate, and one has an under rim chip, one plate has a very old chip on the top…we have left this as is. Only for you if you can appreciate antique dishes with a touch of the grace of time. A rare treat to find, and perfect for this holiday entertaining season!  Sold in a set of six.
