Exquisite Antique Silver Plated Art Nouveau Serving Basket with Swing Handle, such a gorgeous basket. On a footed base, the basket has a lovely flowing shape so indicative of the Art Nouveau design period. From the late 1800’s to very early 1900’s, the Art Nouveau period was relatively short, which makes art nouveau pieces rarer to find.
So pretty, a wonderful server for rolls, fruit, cookies or cake. I think she will be very happy in your guest bathroom too, filled with pretty linen guest towels and soaps. Not completely perfect, one of the lattice pieces has a bend,{that new upstairs girl dropped the basket long ago!} and a small loss has occurred there. Please only adopt her if you can live with her past stories, un-trained help and all. Hallmarked: Meriden silver plate Co No 2233.
