Exceptional Antique Majolica Teapot in the Shell and Seaweed pattern, made around 1880 by Griffen, Smith & Hill of Phoenixville, PA. This highly collectable and desirable teapot is a real luxury find for your majolica collection, it has deep molding, and beautiful coloring. The teapot has a stunning soft pink interior, on the exerior shells surround the pot in shadesof pink, green teal, brown and a soft rose with sprigs of seaweed in green. The lid has a seashell finial resting on a bed of seaweed.

The bottom is signed by impressed  maker’s mark under glaze of GSH and Etruscan, the unglazed portion has the individual artist stamp who worked on this particular pot. A sterling addition to display with your collection fo English, French and American Majolica ware from the 19th century. Rare to find in this condition, the only thing I find is a minute little loss on the inside rim, this fine quality piece will be the statement piece to elevate your majolica collection. Measures: 6~1/4″ x 5″; 9~1/2″ handle to spout.
