Rare to find in any condition, this Antique Country Yellow Ware Colander or Cheese Strainer is a treat. It has a rolled rim and foot ring and a star point pierced design. There are two holes near the top, this is where a metal or leather loop would have been attached in the home for hanging in the kitchen.
In wonderful condition, the inside has all the patina and craquelure of the glaze you want to see in early pottery like this. So delighted to be able to offer this one – almost never see these outside of museums.
