Antique Hand Carved Wood Butter Paddle with Bird’s Beak Handle, used long ago to work the moisture out of the butter before packing the butter into stoneware crocks for storage. From a farm, hand carved from a single piece of wood, shows wear and the grace and patina of time and use. This curved paddle has a curved bird’s beak handle.
This early paddle has a history, is a little quirky, and will make your kitchen happy. Beautiful to display together with your other culinary antiques, wooden spoons in an ironstone pitcher next to your stove. A special nod to dairy farmers from long ago. Julia would approve!
