Antique French Ironstone Soap Dish with Marseille Soap Cube, a classic combination for your French Country kitchen, bathroom, or outdoor garden sink! The ironstone oval soap dish is over 100 years old, and has discolorations, wear, but no chips. We were thrilled to buy a collection of these at a recent brocante. It is the perfect holder for this authentic Savon de Marseille, made by Serrail for Pre de Provence. 150 grams, with 80% oil to nourish your hands.
This all-natural French soap is made with the traditional methods used since 1688, so that it can be called savon de Marseille {Marseille soap} and is recommended by dermatologists because of its ultra-moisturizing properties and purity. Ideal for sensitive skin, this has a light white citrus tea scent, the cubes are rustic-they are hand cut. This multi-use soap is great for bathing, shampooing, laundry, and cleaning, yet gentle enough for a baby. I find this the perfect size, the larger cubes are too difficult to handle for me. Let this soap dry out between use and it will harden slightly, and last a long time.
