Beautiful and impeccably woven of the finest linen and flax, this antique towel is of a fine heavy quality, cool to the touch. Woven with the most unusual French Provence Blue & Yellow, Cafe au Lait, and Cream. Heirloom family linen towel from a trousseau, made in 1900, never used.
Hand embroidered monogram of L D. A glorious addition to your collection of antique textiles, or to present as a luxury host or hostess gift wrapped around a bottle of wine or olive oil. These are so rare to find in this condition, one side has a hem stitched, the other is a self-edge. Each is slightly different size, they are hand sewn.
