Stunning Antique Cast Iron French Urn with Quiver, Arrows and Griffin Handles, a very heavy cast iron urn, with a grey verdigris patina. A highly decorative griffin-handled 19th century cast-iron urn. Both sides have a classically French design of rococo curls and a quiver and arrows tied with a flowing ribbon, and large decorative griffin handles that are showstoppers!
This has a circular drainage hole in the bottom, and will be delightful to enjoy either inside or outside. It will maintain this color for longer if used indoors. For a floral arrangement, simply insert a tall glass container for the water. Highly desirable and exceptionally rare to find in this condition. I fell in love with this the very minute I spotted it at a recent market, and I’m sure you will too! Good antique condition, suitable for use.
