Beautiful Antique Aquatint Engraving entitled Horse Racing, Plate 2 -Preparing to Start. Published by J. L. Marks, June 20 1836, of 97 Long lane Smithfield, London.  This is such a decorative and charming print, behind glass in the original ebonized wood frame. In really good condition, the glass has protected this for over a century, there are a few areas in the cream area that have light aging.

Hand colored engraving on laid paper, with the plate outline. This shows horses and jockeys getting ready for the race.  A jockey is getting weighed on the side. Perfect for a horse lover or your equine collection, to display in your library, office, or anywhere else you want to show your love of horses.
