Antique 19th Century Metal Tole Toleware Tray Hand Painted Black & Gold Floral, this is such a pretty tray. Wonderful painted design all around the Chippendale scalloped shape with gold leaves, branches, berries and little cream white flowers. In good condition for its age, this is from the late 1890’s.
There are surface scratches on the black center, which you can see when the light hits the center, this tray was in use by generations of the family in their home to serve up cocktails {or tea cups} in style on their sideboard. A sweet tray, not for the perfectionist, but that’s why it’s got a great price. Please only adopt if you love the grace of time.
