Chapters include Variety of Fabrics, Making of Cloth and Weaving Process, Knitted Goods and Process, Lace and Lace Making, Yarn and Spinning, Coloring, Silk, Flax to Linen, and every other fabric and its process imaginable. The cover is lighter brown with a weaver on the front, embossed. From a collector of antique and vintage fashion, he has kept this book very well protected.
Written primarily for serious fashion students in High School, and University, there are numerous black and white illustrations as well as photographs. A delight for those of you who adore sewing, fashion and cloth of every kind, the book was meant to encourage a real love for textiles. In good vintage condition, the corners are bumped, the front spine is ‘cracked’ {seperated} but the binding is tight, pages are very clean. For a book nearly one hundred years old it is in remarkable condition.
