19th Century Graniteware Pitcher with Pewter Lid, made by Knowles, Taylor & Knowles of East Liverpool, England, in 1870. I'm adding this to the French Country shop even though it's English, it has such a charming country shape!
This small syrup pitcher is round and has achieved so much "buttering" over the last two centuries - it's perfection. The figural handle is a beautiful design detail, as is the decorative banding around the collar of the metal top. Age, history, stories to share, what could be better?!
