19th Century Small Majolica Pitcher with a charming Ferns and Lilypond design. This one flies against all the rules if you collect antique majolica because it has few chips and a tight hairline. What can I say? I fell in love with it, the colors and design, and couldn't walk away.
Made in the 1800's by Joseph Holdcroft, who, after working for Minton for 18 years opened his own majolica factory Daisy Bank, in Longton, Staffordshire, England, in 1870. This small pitcher has gorgeous green colors, and then that robin egg blue color inside. Not for perfectionists, please only add this to your personal collection if you can forgive these imperfections in this 100yr old + piece.
