19th Century Majolica Milk Pitcher with Pewter Lid, a wonderful example of Victorian English Majolica. The body of this pitcher has a basket weave design, the top portion has a fence design, with large leaves in green, soft pink and mustard yellow color.
This lovely form has a Georgian style leaf thumb tab on the pewter lid, which establishes our example as typical English of the period late 1800's. The colors are gorgeous, the glaze inside is green. The pewter lid works well, it has aging and wear, please see all the photos. Where it attaches to the majolica piece, there is a small part missing.
