Rare Antique French Souvenir Glass from the De L'exposition Universelle de Paris that opened in 1900. That this small glass has survived in this amazing condition for over 119 years is nothing short of a miracle, n'est pas?! The 1900 Paris Exposition was a world's fair and celebrated technological innovations such as talking movies, escalators, diesel engines and more, and also brought fame to the Art Nouveau movement.
This glass is etched on one side with an Eiffel Tower art nouveau design, and the other side with the logo of the fair. Etched by hand on one side with the owner's name and the date of Avril 1901. How exciting to add this to your collection. I've never found one of these with this kind of historical touch of someone's name on it.
