Elegant and so beautiful, this Antique Silver Plated Water Pitcher is decorated with engraved floral design. Finely made by the Van Bergh Silver Co. of Rochester, they started manufacturing fine quadruple silver plated serving pieces in 1892. The pitcher has both bright cut designs on both sides and applied Victorian ornamentation.
This carafe is a beauty, to serve your guests in a gracious manner, also a decorative vase for bouquets of flowers or holiday greens. The feminine foot is embellished with a scrolled design. Curved sophisticated handle completes this gem, there is wear on one side. Marked on the bottom. Considered in good condition, with the original soft warm patina and signs of use by the family for generations. There is an old repair on the lip to one side, it's part of this pitcher's story of the past, it's served at lots of family gatherings. But please only adopt her if you love perfectly imperfect.
