Antique Small Bedouin Bronzed Coffee Pot with a long handle, bought on our European buying trip, used as decoration only in a French country kitchen, I was told it is from the very early 1800's. Traditionally, these small pots were used to make a strong coffee using finely ground Arabica coffee beans, the grind is left in the thick coffee when serving.
This pot? It has seen some years, and was at one time re-soldered for use. Inside, the metal disk on the bottom moves. Please love this as a decorative accessory for your cuisine or display elsewhere in all it's storied quirkiness, but don't make coffee in it. Plenty of wear and patina, with all the signs of a long and useful life, which we love!
