19th Century French Souvenir Shell Work Box features beautiful shells on the lid and around the sides. The very top retains its original pin cushion, the silk has faded and shredded. Fantastic detailed design, inside, the original paper lining is bright pink with a tint of orange.
Exquisite shells in a variety of colors including pink, yellow, apricot and red. A few of the outlining shells have run away, but I don't mind that, please only buy her if you don't either. A fabulous addition to add to your collection of French shell antiques and sailor's valentines.
