Antique French Jardiniere, in French Rococo style with scroll feet, fabulous patina, the decorative shell and flower design on the front is divine. This heavy cast iron planter has vestiges of the original silver colored paint, it was most likely repainted at one time long ago, areas of the undercoat of umber show through.
Medium size, this single timeworn weathered planter was purchased in France, there is rust in the bottom of the urn as you would expect. Lengthy enough for two small pots of orchids, or use as a vase with a liner and floral foam for a fresh arrangement. Stunning as a centerpiece on your dining room table, or planted with moss as a objet d'art in your sunroom or entry hall.
