Exceptional 19th Century Hand Woven Buttocks Splint Basket, finely woven. The rim is double wrapped, the arched handle is sturdy and beautifully designed. The handle wraps around the basket form for extra stability. Baskets like this were used to carry eggs from the hen house long ago, now, they are just decorative treasures!
